India’s first union budget

Independent India’s first Union Budget was presented on 26 Nov 1947 by the first finance minister R. K. Shanmukham Chetty with aimed revenues of Rs. 171.15 crores and total estimated expenditures of Rs. 197.29 crore for the year.
