World GDP and Largest Economies
As per International Monetary Fund (IMF) data here is a summary of world GDP and the largest economies in the world, as of January 2024.
World GDP stands at 109.73 USD trillion. Advanced economies contribute around 58% of that at 63.57 USD trillion. Rest 42% is contributed by Emerging / Developing economies at 46.17 USD trillion.
United States is of course the largest economy in the world with a GDP of 27.97 USD trillion.
And no prices for guessing second largest economy too – China – with a GDP of 18.56 USD trillion.
Germany (4.7), Japan (4.29) and India (4.11) are next 3 largest economies with a GDP of more than 4 USD trillion each.
These top 5 economies account for more than half of world GDP at around 54%.
